.stl file from SketchUP?
I need an .stl file for 3d printing from a SU model. I downloaded the su2stl.rb file, but SU doesn't even acknowledge that I installed the plug-in. If anyone could help me convert the file, I would greatly appreciate it (its a 12Mb file, so I probably cant post it here)

what do you mean by Sketchup doesn't acknowledge that you installed the plug-in? Most plugins, when they are placed in the "plugins" directory of SU, will find themselves in various menus, even on the context click. They will not say that they have been installed, merely will just show up after restarting SU.

If you install an application while sketchup is running, it will not appear. You need to restart the application after an installation. Hope this helps.

I put the su2stl.rb in the "plugins" folder (SU was not running at the time)
When I open the program and look for the plugin, I cant find anything |

So I finally got the ruby script to "work", if you can call it that - only problem: it doesn't do anything. All the geometry was ignored....yet another amateur plugin thats a complete failure
