[Tokyo] Omotesandou Street

The Area:
Omotesandou is one of the most fashonable areas in Tokyo. It is congested with many good pieces of contemporary architecture.
If you are a transit and have only three hours to stroll around in Tokyo, this is the place to go.
Cannot even list them all but I nailed ones I like on the map.
This time, all photos are collected from somewhere on the web. None of them are taken by me.
I am saving my own shots for exclusive threads of each buildings.

ACCESS:
by subway or train
Get off at one of those stations;
Omotesandou station (either Tokyo Metro Ginza line, Chiyoda line or Hanzoumon line) . Go to the exit A3.
Meiji-jinguumae station (Tokyo Metro Chiyoda line)

Every single architectural gesture Maki makes comes after intensive and intelligent thinking about urban condition of the vicinity. With the help of very understanding client, Spiral culminates his career (I think) and literally blossomed in the city. It changed the meaning of facade.

13. La Collezione by Tadao Ando
This was my very first encounter to Ando's space. Later on, I found Time's, the church of wind and other even better architecture, but this was real shock to a first year architecture student and I instantly fell in love.
Although it is a commercial complex, just walking around in this building was like walking around in the city of Venice. It was endless, and you can get lost so easily in this small building.

16. F-building by Toyo Ito
This small building from 1991 is consdered to be the most beautiful building in Tokyo by many. The german company Bulthaup occupies the space now.
