The new movie from Architect/director Fernando Meirelles has a lot of brazilian architecture references, like this new bridge in Sao Paulo, called Octavio Frias Brigde, or just "ponte estaiada".

New York 2095 in "Immortel" by Enki Bilal 2004![]()
And an awful thing it was, too...both as a drama and as an exercise in Lightwave modeling/rendering.
Usually authors don't gut their own works to make terrible film versions, but apparently Bilal himself was responsible for the hatchet job on his astonishing Nikopol Trilogy.
About the movie "Immortel"in Lightwave modeling/rendering.
Little rectification it was Maya the principal soft used for the animation / rendering/Post production used by the Society Duran Duboi

NewTek was actually using it on their website to advertise Lightwave (look at their project list under 2004). But who cares? It was still an awful movie.
Some video
No problem, it was just the fact that I read this text today so my memory was fresh about that
18 progs were developed only for this film (Immortel) by Duran Duboi
If you can try to see the Making of "technic" : it's a little true gem!
For architecture design and mood "Bunker Palace Hotel" is also a cool piece (first movie of Enki Bilal) !

Does anybody know the building in 007 new movie: quantum of solace (especial the one on desert). I wonder if it is true or just the CG. I did a quick search with google but couldn't find any helpful information.

I saw the short film Akryls again recently, and was struck again by the strange architecture in the alien (?) city scenes...very much reminiscent of some of Lebbeus Woods' drawings.
The film was completed in 2002, and it seems the three creators have moved on to less-interesting and more-commercial things.
It is still available here for download, and there are many copies available on Youtube as well.

The Bradbury Building was used cinematically in the TV series The Outer Limits in an episode starring Robert Culp, in which he is in a film noir kind of survival battle with aliens from the future (an episode which won an Emmy Award). I thought it was interesting how the aliens' facial makeup resembles Daryl Hannah's in the Blade Runner.
I just found Quang Truong's blog through Archinect. Interesting reads on different films. Some already listed in this thread.

Sleddale Hall, the old farmhouse featured in the cult film Withnail and I, will be auctioned off by United Utilities - beginning bid is around £145,000; a trust has been created by fans who wish to collectively purchase the building for its preservation as an iconic piece of British film History. "your a big man but your in bad shape…with me it’s a full-time job. Now behave yourself.”
The print features the location of a seminal scene from 70s Brit gangster flick, Get Carter.
Fans of the film will recognise the Gateshead car park atop which Caine’s Jack Carter has a barney with small-time hood Cliff Brumby, played by Bryan Mosley (aka Alf Roberts off of Corrie). Carter laters ends up shooting Brumby who falls to his death from said car park.
The building is actually Owen Luder’s Trinity Centre Car Park, long-regarded as a Brutalist masterpiece. Im not sure if it has been demolished yet.

Architecture from Nothing.
Another James Bond film. They do choose some amazing locations.
James Bond slides down the side of the Millenium dome in the world is not enough.
