There is a new Architecture podcast. Unluckily it's only for the spanish speaking people. It's done by the same people that make Scalae (http://www.scalae.com) architecture bulletin wich is made by argentinians and spanish.

Subscription: http://www.arranz.net/scalaepodcast/scalae.xml
Presentation: http://www.arranz.net/scalaepodcast/SCALAE_podcast_00.mp3

So now you english speaking people beware, because more or less one third of the participating people in this forum speaks spanish :D. You will have to learn soon Muahahahahahhahaah

I can vouch for the KCRW show, it's almost always interesting and informative, with professional production values and a great presenter(host).

If people go to podcastalley.com they can search for the show name, "DNA,Design and Architecture." and listen to it(as a streaming quicktime) without downloading any pod software.

Just started using Podcasts on my Itunes. Pretty neat, although 99,9 % of the podcasts around are rubbish. Thought it would be nice to start a thread were people can share tips on interesting podcasts. Anyway, IŽll start by naming a few I like:

2 minute photoshop tricks http://tricks.onigo.net/

Very neat, straight to the point tricks about photoshop. IŽve already learned a lot from this podcast.

Architecture talk http://www.schellarch.com/archtalk/

The only useful architecture podcast I have come across so far. Its a one man show, an architect from Chicago talking about the built environment. And most of the time he has something fairly interesting to say.

The Mac Attack http://themacattack.libsyn.com/

Great podcast with tips and tricks for mac users.

All songs considered http://www.npr.org/programs/asc/

Great music program with alternative music.

The architecture talk sounds interesting.
I'm also subscribed to a couple other architecture podcasts, but they don't update frequently you can find them in this thread (http://www.pushpullbar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97&highlight=podcast)

I tried Architecture radio but the sound quality was terrible. Thank for the hint nonetheless.

A pod cast is a sound (for ex. mp3) file generated and distributed though the net originaly inended to be listened in an i-pod or similar (the mp3s are for other devices also).
Instead of music , these are generally interviews, conferences or debates generated by different sources and distributed over the net.

It can easily be created just by anyone with a recording device and little editing, then just distribute them free over the net.

These cacapis posts are conferences and debates done by Scalae magazine with architects and about different subjects.

I don't find them very appealing, but I guess you can listen to them like if it were radio, but with the advantage of an audio file.

You can listen them in a PC, but the term started with the aim of using them with i-pods.

Good idea. My apologies for being too lazy to search if there already was a podcasting thread before starting a new one.

I would also like to add Ted Wells - Living Simple (http://twls.libsyn.com/) series. I also know Ted Wells is a silent member of [pushpullbar]2
