Jørn Utzon won the PRIZTKER PRIZE (http://www.pritzkerprize.com/2003annc.htm) in 2003. Here's the man. :not worth
Of course, Utzon is mainly known for his world famous SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE (http://www.sydneyoperahouse.com/) which he never visited himself (further info in article post #1).
Utzon sketches can be found HERE (http://www.arcspace.com/studio/utzon/pages/02.htm)
My favorite one...
check out the Sydney Harbour webcam (http://www.viewsydney.com/content/dyncontent.cfm?pg=100483&div=100013&heading=glance_header&index=3#%23), you can actually control it! Wicked fun.
i like this sketch. Utzon's sketches reminds me of Carlo Scarpa's sketches.

http://www.romerhusene.dk/index2003eng.htm (http://www.romerhusene.dk/)
the locals call it - the roman houses
I think the site is in Danish
COOL I LOVE these houses simplicity:cheers:
Michel, can you post some more infos on Can Feliz? no HalfLife map?:D
Link updated, site is available in english.
Thought I would share this pic, its JU's house on Majorca, I have always liked it, its was published in some house mag years ago. A very simple house in rough cut sandstone / concrete lintols...
...has anybody got any descent / pics plans....
This house is my idea of a Mediterranean holiday house!!!!
.... Is'nt this pic fab, its a church by JU, in scandinavia somwhere. It's so Scandinavian.
I find JU's houses quite Mediterranean, in the treatment of wall / courtyard - but then I have no idea what Scandinavian Vernacular looks like.
I'm sure a lot of you remember the church's section in Francis Ching's book.
Pic comes courtesy of our friends at flickr...
the house is called Can Lis and the church is in THIS THREAD (http://www.pushpullbar.com/forums//showthread.php?t=1950)

Jørn Utzon. A true artist...
this comes via partiv (www.partiv.com)
On the market for the first time since it was completed in 1962, the house was conceived by the renowned Danish architect Jørn Utzon in collaboration with the engineer Povl Ahm, a partner and former chairman at Arup.

could anyone answar what makes Jørn Utzon a sutch a good arkitect?
why was he a good asset for the arkitekture?

£2.5M - no way anyone on here can pass themselves off with that much cash. besides have you seen the house particulars - very well documented.
Apparantly the only thing Jørn Utson built in the UK was St Catherine’s College Oxford. Reading carefully it was ‘conceived by’ not designed by Jorn Utzon; that's at least a million quid off. :D

You are probably right, gorgon.
"In the late 1950s, the young Dane Povl Ahm (1926 - 2005) was working in London for the great Anglo-Danish civil engineer Ove Arup when he was assigned to assist on Jørn Utzon’s ground-breaking project for a new Opera House in Sydney, Australia.
Whilst working with Utzon, Ahm acquired a plot of land in Harpenden. Utzon drew up a set of conceptual drawings for the plot, which Ahm developed into the house that stands today. "
From pictures, I can see Utzon was responsible for major part of the design of the house, but we cannot technically call it Utzon design.
