A footpath from the banks of the Vltava river via the “Hirschgraben” to the Prague Castle passes through an 84 metre long elliptical pedestrian tunnel. The internal vaulted surface is constructed of brickwork whilst the Brusnice creek flows within the tunnel itself under a steel grate. Very beautiful.

the junction between the rectangular gate and the vaulted brickwork should be interesting; do you have a pic of this part?

Good, very good passage, very interesting inspiration from a sewer duct ;)
there's an archidose issue (http://www.archidose.org/Jul05/071805.html) about this tunnel with some very nice photos.
just to make a correction, they mention there the tunnel is oval in section. in fact it is egg-shaped. you walk inside an egg which makes you feel safe - link to the prenatal stage. that's the concept.
