Hi
This house was built in 1958 as the architect's residence. He lived there until 2004 (he was then 83 years old) and sold it to a sensitive client that restored it to its original condition. Silva (the architect) got his architectural education in Colombia and the US and became a prominent architect and educator until very late.

Entrance from the street, the stair goes to the main door court. The Parking are located to the left. The house has 3 floors, the first floor (stone cladded) is semi buried against the hill and is considered the basement of the house. The proper 1st floor is reached after ascending the lateral stairs.

Entrance Lobby, the stair goes to the 2nd floor rooms. Notice the niche for the telephone to the right. Apparently Silva got inspiration from the confessionary booths in churches when he was designing the niche.

Basement studio book shelve, this is the wall against the rock face. It had severe water filtration issues, that is it was necessary to leave some ventilation holes (under the bench).
