Addtion to Kunsthaus

I am led to believe that this is his first work. Leave that as it may, it is very modest and unobtrusive to this old house.

Getting there:
It's in the center of town and the center isn't really that big. Every hotel has a small "attractions" map that you get for free and you'll find the Kunsthaus easily on that. I'll include a .kmz instead of further details.

that was it for the front, at the back he also made this wonderful connection bridge between the two houses of the Kunsthaus

So Zumthors first you say. I still haven't had the pleasure of flicking through his oh so expensive book.

I would say you have hit how I feel about this on the head ..."it is very modest and unobtrusive to this old house". My one real thought is that this must have been due to the wishes of the client... because the Zumthor - even early works is just not this 'unobtrusive'.

Okay its a little OT but I must know... what does 'kunsthaus' translate to? I have heard way to many variations in my time.

kunst = art
haus = house

"art gallery" is the english translation.
