I'm new to vray and i've tried to down load and import some vispot files. When I import these files and apply them to an object nothing shows up. It looks completely blank as if there was no material. Any suggestions?
THanks!

thats coz u need to link the jpegs back into the appropriate slots...
most visopts do come with the jpegs that they have used...
all u gotta do is find the slots with the 'M' in the material browser and link the jpegs back! ;)

thanks!
is do you link both the color jpeg and the black and white one.... i'm guessing that I'd link the color jpeg to the 'diffuse' layer and the black and white one would be used as a bump or diplacement map. Am I on the right track? I've been trying to teach myself to use vray and it's this little things that keep me up at night!
thanks again,
n

yes u are correct... the black n white images go for the displacement and bump slots... u may have to reload it a cpl of times.. coz there are certain bugs in the material editor as far as i can tell.. but it works.. displacement on the other hand depends on ur luck! sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt.. they say its got somethin to do with the way SU handles the geometry mesh...
