Vintage and rare books (http://www.digmodernbooks.com/) for the modernist in you.
They have a great selection of old books including the following-
Books

art
collecting stuff
cookbooks
design
do-it-yourself
landscape
materials
Objects
china/dishes
furniture
gadgets
glass
jewelry
kitchen
pottery
tableware
Plans
furniture plans
house plans
Seeing that book cover reminds me that Todd Oldham has a new show on HGTV on Mondays. He will show how to "Make Modern" in your own home. Todd is the guy who did a line of contemporary furnishings for the LazyBoy–manufacturer of comfortable, but extremely ugly furniture.

Do not let that image steer you away from the site. They have a ton of classic modern and contemporary literature.
I love these old books. I have a collection that have grabbed over the years from junk stores, Salvation Army Stores etc. They sometimes smell a little musty, but they are quite interesting and a great reference. I mainly use them for identifying mid-century furniture that wasn't designed by the top designers of the time.

I agree- I was lucky enough to have a grandmother who worked at a library. she would grab any of the architecture books that came in as donations for the book sales for me. There is a lot to learn from those old books.
Is there anything better than grandmoms, libraries and books?
