Jeffrey Jacobs (http://www.jeffreyjacobsphoto.com/) is pretty awesome
Hisao Suzuki - LINK (http://www.nuaa-image.com/)
He is the El Croquis (http://www.elcroquis.es/AcercaElCroquis_en.aspx?lang=en) photographer
Not exactly an architectural photographer, René Burri has done some great photos of architects , such as Le Corbusier, Barragan or Niemeyer, and their architecture - Link to Magnum Photos (http://www.magnumphotos.com/Archive/C.aspx?VP=Mod_ViewBoxInsertion.ViewBoxInsertion_VP age&R=2K7O3R1ZWH4V&RP=Mod_ViewBox.ViewBoxThumb_VPage&CT=Album&SP=Album)
Here's one of his photos, of the Inauguration of the chapel of Notre-Dame du Haut.
Roland Halbe - LINK (http://www.rolandhalbe.de/)
Here's one of his photographs of the Allianz Arena By Herzog & de Meuron

Let try an Aussie one to John Gollings (http://www.gollings.com.au/)
Lucien Hervé (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucien_Herv%C3%A9) photographed a lot of Corbusier buildings as well. His work is less documentary and more abstract, investigating the potential of the building to produce iinteresting images, always looking for interesting contrasts and details.
Here (http://www.amazon.com/Lucien-Herve-Building-Images-Resources/dp/0892367547)'s a book on him (and by him), he also wrote a book (http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_b/104-7998047-1108744?initialSearch=1&url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=lucien+herve&Go.x=0&Go.y=0&Go=Go)on Corbusier as an artist and writer.
His work on the abbey of Le Thoronet is famous as well.

thank you again
Silvio Lorusso
In that case, for Australia (especially early Murcutt work), Max Dupain (http://www.maxdupain.com.au/) (1911-1992), David Moore (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Moore_%28photographer%29) (1927-2003) and as already mentioned... John Gollings (1944-)

something between the 50s and the 80s
That is the time when Yukio Futagawa (publisher-photographer of GA magazine (http://www.ga-ada.co.jp/)) was most active.

thank you again you were very helpful
no ones mentioned Ezra Stoller. damn good stuff from one who knew the business.
info link (http://photography.about.com/library/weekly/aa101303c.htm)
Ezra Stoller began taking photographs to support himself while studying to be an architect at the New York University School of Architecture. On graduation in 1939, he continued as a photographer rather than an architect, soon establishing himself as a leading architectural photographer and continuing to work for some 50 years.

I am impressed with Timothy Swope's work, particularly the shots of L'Institut du Monde Arabe (http://www.pixelmap.com/dma_nouvel_00.html).

You really need to look at Hedrick-Blessing. They were, and still are, one of the best.

Todd Eberle (http://www.toddeberle.com/). His series on Judd's architecture in Marfa is fantastic.

Apparently they're a group of photographers trained by the originators. Some great compositions in there!
Good to see you back here!

Great to see you again.
Indeed, welcome back Jake!
Just came across some more resources about Julius Shulman through TASCHEN.
They published Modernism Rediscovered both as a 3 XL volume set (http://www.taschen.com/pages/en/catalogue/photography/all/04404/facts.htm) and as a more economical smaller single volume (http://www.taschen.com/pages/en/catalogue/architecture/all/02934/facts.htm).
For the really wealthy among us they have published several books entitled Shulman Portfolios (http://www.taschen.com/pages/en/catalogue/artists_editions/all/01026/see_also.htm). Each of them features a single house and is a limited edition of 60 copies worldwide, signed by the author and priced at €3000.
They have a few press clippings available for download (http://www.taschen.com/pages/en/search/result.1.htm?last_site=catalogue&search_string=shulman&show_all=Press+-+Press+Clippings) as PDF files (not particularly interesting except maybe the last one).
In the reading room section of their website they have a couple of articles about Shulman: one is entitled The Living Memory of Modernism (http://www.taschen.com/pages/en/catalogue/architecture/reading_room/183.1.htm) and the other is The making of an icon (http://www.taschen.com/pages/en/catalogue/architecture/reading_room/10.1.htm) and is an interview with all the people who participated in the picture shown below, taken in 1960 in Pierre Koenig's Case Study House #22.
I do not know if he is famous now, but i think will be soon. His name is Hagen Stier

Great article on Shulman in the October Dwell. Evidently he has a new three-volume book being published by Taschen named "Modernism Revisited".

He is not world famous but well known in Germany. He lives and works from my hometown Aachen and has taken some great pictures of projects I've worked on.

Michael Wolf (http://www.photomichaelwolf.com/intro/)
yet somewhere on the forum but astonished by the images shown!
Don't know if he is famous or not :)
The work of Bernd and Hilla Becher (http://www.artnet.de/Artists/ArtistHomePage.aspx?artist_id=2179&page_tab=Artworks_for_sale) is certainly worth having a look at. There's a lot on Google images (http://images.google.be/images?q=bernd+hilla+becher&hl=nl&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hs=wWR&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=X&oi=images&ct=title) and here's the wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernd_and_Hilla_Becher). A_Minima mentioned them here (http://www.pushpullbar.com/forums/showthread.php?p=60075&highlight=becher#post60075).
They formed and influenced a whole generation of German photographers. Although their work is better known in art and photography circles, there are strong connections to architectural photography as well.
Unfortunately, Bernd died (http://www.nytimes.com/2007/06/26/arts/26becher.html?ei=5090&en=aa3ba0750af71bc2&ex=1340510400&adxnnl=1&partner=rssuserland&emc=rss&adxnnlx=1182957449-GmmPwU+3SKD/TXoIc/Gdxg) in June 2007.

I assume the artists don't have to be living. Two greats no longer with us are Frederick H Evans a Brit who worked from the last years of the 19thC and died in the 40s but I believe he retired about 1915, and Richard Einzig who died in 1980. Two still very much with us and worth a look are Tim Street Porter and Alan Weintraub. Richard Bryant has already been mentioned if you want to see examples of his work (and a lot of others) go to www.arcaid.co.uk Good Luck WEL

Here I have some pictures about famous buildings in Spain. Maybe that's useful for you.
Balthazar Korab

I was lucky enough to have Christmas dinner w/ him two years ago. He is truly a fascinating man and a living legend having worked in the offices of Le Corbusier and Eero Saarinen.
He also is credited with the last photograph taken of Frank Lloyd Wright.
