There is a very cool crystallized glass available from Architectural Systems called "Luna Glass". The glass has phosphorescent shards cast into it; it absorbs light during daylight hours or from artifical sources and gives off a very nice blue glow in low light conditions. I've attached a very poor shot of a sample we ordered to give you a taste of the effect. See the website for more info.

I see a tower covered with this glass, it would look like a gigantic ghost in the heart of the city. Spooky

I want to make a door out of it so that it glows until the early morning (like a night light) and fads out as dawn approaches...

<it's nice. But IMO it can only be noticed in total darkness, not in low light condition, which means you will seldom see its effect.

Yeah, very nice. I'm amazed at the variety, complexity and breadth of glass technology.

I wonder if this firefly glass could be used in one of these (taken from the above link)?

Thanks for the light,
