[Request] Europe Architectural Summer Trip!
Hi all. Me and a few of my friends are going to Europe for about 2 weeks, and we wish to visit some architecture. However, we don't know exactly what to expect in the cities we're visiting...so plz help with some suggestions on what to expect!
Cities we're visiting: Amsterdam Florence Venice London Paris PS I'm in charge of the Amsterdam part...and while i know a few Dutch architects(MVRDV, Herman Hertzber, Koolhas) i only know a few places where we can visit their designs...plus it would be nice to go to other closeby cities that would house architecture worth visiting...so, yeah thanks! PPS I would love to go to Firminy where Corbu designed a lot of buildings...but i dunno the route...so yeah... Last edited by Lumox; 23-03-2007 at 18:24.. |

About Amsterdam
Check the Architectuurcentrum Amsterdam website for information. Their website features an architectural guide with an interactive map. The Time Line feature is great. LINK And there's also the Archishuttle! LINK ArchEX organizes architectural tours to several parts of Amsterdam and other cities, check their website, it also useful short descriptions for each city / area and some links. LINK Check Ivar Hagendoorn's website. Besides great architectural photography, he provides useful travel info for several destinations, including Amsterdam. LINK Check Galinsky website LINK ...And you can also search the forum's architects and designers section for dutch architects and see where they have buildings...
