I have the sofa, ottoman, and coffee table from an earlier post on pp1. As you may or may not recall, the modeler (who shall remain unnamed) requested that the models be withdrawn from the forum because the Noguchi Foundation would not give their blessings to the models.

Noguchi's work is wonderful. So, my question. Should I post these anonymously in the furniture forum or not. They are beautifully modeled.

Good question - I would say If they were originally asked to be removed, I would not repost them unless we get approval from them.

Tough question. If these models are censored then 99 percent of the models out there would fall into the same category. It slike preventing an artist from painting a picture of the Eiffel Tower. Where do you draw the line regarding what is public domain. To me modeling furniture falls into the same category as painting.

The only reason I haven't posted them is my respect for the wishes of the man who modeled the furniture. I guess that should be a good enough answer, but I think the whole issue opens up a can of worms. Any other opinions. Should this be moved to another thread?
