you can play with the exposure by clicking firstly at the "use exposure correction" button
and then using the black small arrow ... if you re not that happy with the result you can always switch it off by re-clicking the "use exposure correction" button... |

then , same story, with the curve color correction ... firstly click the "use color curve correction" button and
then adjust your image you can combine the two previous adjustments simultaneously (or more) to achieve the desireable result |

Thanks LEF for pointing that out.
This sure is helpful. When you first try vray you might get underexposed renders which you can 'save' by using the method LEF described. Better though is anticipating post work by setting up your 'physical' camera correctly before hitting the render button. think of it as working with a manual analog camera where you have to set the right shutterspeed and f-stop to get the lighting or effect you want. Also keep the filmspeed in consideration. Start with a 100 iso for well lit scenes and turn that number up (200,400...)for underlit scenes. Also when in an underlit situation it is better to decrease the shutterspeed value than to decrease your f-stop value. Off course all the other vray settings (..oh man, a lot of those ) play a role in light intensity and lighting quality as well.
