Does anyone have a solution for insect screens for large sliding doors? The window manufacturer had agreed to oversize the doors (alum. with stiffining) though the sheet sizes for the insect screens are too small...
The screen needs to be st steel or brass due to the fire risk (regulation)
thanks

Here we generaly add another rail on the frame for an extra "pane" that has the insect screen.
When one window pane is open, the screen one is placed in front of the opening.
An option is a small insect pane placed in the rail of the glass one, so people slide the glass panes to go in-out (the insect pane acts as ventilation, could be just 30cm wide).
I've seen some roller ones, that can be roled sideways, but don't know how they'll work in large sizes.
i dont know of a new design persay, but perhaps this bit of information might help - Some cultures paint their window frames blue because the color is known to be a natural insect repellent.
so much for my first post :)

Thanks Marcelo, some good options...might be able to use fibreglass mesh to fit the sizes (2700h x 1900w); provided the council will approve.
