Thought I'd repost this one for PPB2.

Project: Rangiora High School Technology Block, Stage 1
Location: Rangiora, Canterbury, NZ
Type: Educational

New building on currently undeveloped area of school land adjacent to railway lines. Teaching spaces to either side of a large multi-use common space. Roof "Lanterns" provide light to common space as well as ventilation.

I remember that was the first "Shot of the day" I saw on PPB.
Thanks for reposting a simple and well resolved project.
Is it under construction?

I think it is currently in the middle of the tender process, with any luck it will come in on budget!

I just noticed I spelt School without the "L" in the title... oh well, "Schoo" sounds cool too. :o

Been a while since I've posted here! Thought I should follow this one up with some construction photos, building looks almost as good as the SketchUp Model!

Its looking very nice Steve. I'd like to see more before and after images, if possible ... I find it interesting to see the difference between the initial design and the final built product.

Same here.... more, more, more...
I would actually like to have more information about the roof monitors (the timber towers), how are they supposed to behave and how are they designed, like to see some details and maybe close up shots.
Maybe you posted more about the design stages on PPB1 but I missed it the first time around.
Thank you, it's looking really good.

i already use SU and i think that's a very cool software: easy and quick.
i've asked which software do you use for the "post production" and the layout (do you fill the walls in Photoshop, ...)

You can fill them in photoshop or you can use a rugby script to do that for you.
Both ways are easy.

a link to the rugby can be found in this (http://www.pushpullbar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2985) post
