I just bought a little plot, and need some input/suggestions on the design. I'm thinking of living there for myself for a while and maybe sell it in a few years. The plot is only 416 square meters whitch means 104 square meters buildable area, not including garages and on-ground terraces.

The plot in black

need some input/suggestions on the design.

So you just want to leave us here to design it all for you? Don't you have ANY thoughts of your own that we can at least build on????????

Starting a topic to give some ideas about your project can be interessting, but you should provide us with some description of what you're looking for. :wondering

With all the information we have so far I would say I would go for something like the Red house by Jarmund/Vigsnaes (http://www.jva.no/) or Jason's Contemporary Barn (http://www.pushpullbar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=129).
A striking design against such a background should prove very compelling.

I don't know Cacapis... I see a Red building/house in a couple of those pictures already... why not something Yellow? Just to be different?

Arrestme... you have given us the context... what are some of your initial approaches to what you would like to achieve in this design? The model you posted doens't really help... yeah, its a house... tells us nothing else... I am intruigued with what you could do but you need to afford us some more information so we can throw around some ideas with you... otherwise you will ge the yellow house, or red house comments which really does you no good...

Ok. Im thinking 3 levels, top level being a loft with the master bedroom and a bathroom. 1st level: bedrooms a bathroom and some storage (no view at all from the first level). 2nd level: livingroom and kitchen. The regulations for the area says the roofs must be pitched with a degree of 36 +/- 2 degrees (but rules are being bent all the time!) Maximum height is 9 meters and maximum rafter height is 8 meters.

I'm not saying it has to be red. But a simple and striking design like those could look very good in a place like that.

are you a designer? this sounds like a typical client's brief! where is your own creativity and sensitivity about the site? please share that with us.

from designer to designer, you have to show us your own direction, aspirations and concept in order for us to help. giving us a brief doesn't, unless you are commissioning us to design it for you.

The site looks very interesting.

It looks like you could really start to play with the levels of the site, and the rocky outcrops seem a striking aspect to the site. Are you thinking of trying to incorporate this within the design? Plenty of trees as well.

Might to interesting to explore the design of your house around the landscape rather than just plonking a house in the middle. I assume you have thought about access to the site as well...

Not sure your background, but what architectural influences/ideas do you have:confused:

As swank-e stated, you really need to bring something to the table in order to create a dialogue regarding your site and potential designs for all of us to discuss.
