(I like this web so i wanted to contribute. This is the second building I did in SU, only for fun and learning to work with this programm, for me the best one)
The longitudinal axe of the built volume is parallel to the main road in front of it. The inclination of the terrain makes possible the difference bettwen the front and back facades. The vertical circulation is sited on a side to respect the longitudinal and original conception. The entrance takes the place bettwen both masses limitating what is the big and lower body of the building. Le Corbusier also introduce some intention when two elements go out of the main façade. This face of the building has a vertical predominance while the back one has it horizontally. In the interior, reinforced concrete allowed new dispositions of spaces and the possibility of long windows...

Primo, I invite you to read the answer I made to Donjuanfe the first time he posted his model and to follow the link I put. The house recovered his first state in 1996. Don't panic.

This house was not designed for a roof with tiles, and I will not suggest it should have them, but I would like to bring an issue with tiles.
There is a question I've posed many times. Can you design a modern architecture with a tiled roof?
I do not think Charles Edouard would think so. But I think tiles should not diminish the value of an architectural work and are an excellent material. I would say that most architects nowday wrongly dismiss the true values of a contemporary work just because of the appearance of roof tiles.

I couldn't agree more Franyayo, but this house has been spoiled by the aditions it suffered...

Some times the truth hearts, It could have been considered a special building with some kind of cultural interest or so...
Thanks Primo, the picture should be shown in Architecture Schools, Architecture should be regarded as least as painting (imaging a Picaso restored with a brush?)

This is just what I meant by prejudice. You are saying that roof tiles are an old and worse technology. The gas engine is a better engine but I am not so sure flat leaking roofs are a technical improvement. Concrete is not impermeable and we have to go through great efforts and costs to impermeabilize flat concrete roofs.
We are really talking about an almost pure style issue, not about a technical issue.

Will Corbu sue the residents because "his designer rights have been affected by the mutilation of his "work of art"?
In this case, I'm definitely with him!

Going by the images presented a non-descript, if not actually very poor, international style box has been given a roof to make it stop leaking. One struggles to really make a case that a masterpiece has been destroyed...

This house is also known as Villa Besnus and is from 1923. It surely isn't Le Corbusier's best, but given the design date, I would say it was rather groundbreaking. It is prior to Villa Savoie, which is from 1929.
