here's a site i visit almost as much as PPB. it's updated daily and the person that runs it is very good at citing and linking to their sources (refreshing for these kind of blog pages).

site deals with all things "MOdern / COntemporary" in the design world. yeah, it's one guy's subjective view but, in my opinion, the majority of the stuff is quality.
