hello
i am doing my thesis on a film training institute. i just wanted to know about similar institutes which are worth having a look at it.
and also the relation of architecture and film, although i feel both are quite comparable in terms of the thought process and the experience involved.
both have a lot of parameters which set the pace of the ultimate product.

well thanks primocordara for revealing the role of architecture in films but i wanted to explore the otherside of the realm. i.e, how to incorporate film in architecture.
i think the experiences and the series of emotions one goes through is quite similar in both the cases. the art of film making is comparable to architecture.
i need to materialize the symbolism of the process of film making in the built form keeping in mind the site context(rich cultural heritage) which has a role to play in the project.

don't know if this would help in any way but the architect Frank Isreal, who I might add passed away several years ago from AIDS, was involved with Hollywood quite a bit. He helped to design many sets and many of his projects came from his Hollywood associations... You may want to check him out... I did a paper in school on him and I remember some discussion by Isreal talking about his feelings/opinions towards the comparisons to both film and architecture...
