Built: 1923-1932
Architect: Sir John Burnett
Engineers: Dorman & Long, Ralph Freeman
Stands 134 metres above the harbour (highest point).

I recently visited Sydney (I live in Brisbane, Australia) and I was very taken back by the beauty of the city. It is one thing to see things in images but another to visit the place.

Camera and settings: Fujifilm Finepix s7000, 15sec f2.8 iso200

I like the lighting on the bridge, it makes shadows that make is seem so light. Thanks for the pic.

Nice Job JJ, I have always liked your eye for lighting in camera shots. You have some that are more successful, but these are well done.

Mate, you should have told me you were coming to sydney I would have taken the day off and drove you around all over the place.

Did you do the climb over the bridge, think of this! I think they charge over $100 per person, 15 people in a group every 15 minutes.

I saw a show the other day on the new security systems on the bridge, they have heat sensitive cameras, and systems that monitor anything that remains stationary for a period of time - all due to the threat of terrorism.

Now we should install such systems on PPB.

Did you check out the opera house and the Renzo Piano building, I hope you didn't get around to Darling Harder that's an embarrasment.

Mate there is so much to see as the city is really very compact and yet make Brissy look like a postage stamp.

And thanks a lot for the beautiful photos! :clap:Hi digdoi, my pleasure.

I like the lighting on the bridge, it makes shadows that make is seem so light. Thanks for the pic.The bridge does look good, I think the lower part of the image is a little to bright though.

I did get to check out both opera house and the Renzo Piano building, the Opera house is an amazing building. Renzo's is also top notch, both have really clean lines. I will post pictures.

Yeah brissy is quite small compared, there are some beautiful surrounding suburbs in Sydney also.

I definitely plan on coming back in the summer!
