Hi, I am an architecture student currently in the research phase of designing an general education building. I was looking for help in locating any resources for technological innovation in an educational setting. Thanks for any help.

Yes, Michel's right!
PPB is a forum to discuss about architecture and criticize projects but PPB will not provide readymade solutions... :D

So, propose a design and we'll see if we can find any useful references for you!

Hey MarF, don't be scared... but your question sounds like 'I'm designing a house, could you help ?' question... A bit more info would be appreciated if you need a valuable answer. :D

yea a little vague,

im very early in the program but im conducting research for an electronically operated classroom that:

allows students to interact with professor/ students electronically.
allows students to download lessons and archive them for later use.
....

again very early in the program and looking for articles or other resources on the topic of the "electronic classroom" or "technology in the classroom"
just wondering if anybody knew someone who had written on this concept

again thanks

The first reference that comes to my mind is Ghost In The Shell SAC2 (StandAloneComplex season2) :D

Everything is virtual, but you can see a virtual puppet of the other forum goers, for example... Maybe of some use if you're looking for precedents?

I find it very interesting that Ryo mentioned Ghost In The Shell, because I believe you will have to use your imagination more than reading an article about "technology in the classroom". Maybe it would be good to read something like BRAVE NEW WORLD by Aldous Huxley.

So its basically an internet teacher of sorts? If thats the case think about innovative ways to design the class room instead of a standard computer lab. Like an entire wall as a tv for webcam conversing, or exposing all of the cat5 cables and such. There are so many ways you could take this. You could draw inspiration from the people who intend to use this building, or the culture of the area were its being built. Or even an abstraction of the site itself.
