Do you rendering pros have any idea what mix of media libeskind's studio uses to make these images? There's just something about them that draws me in. Please enlighten the newbie. :not worth

TJ,
I don't know for sure but comparing the image style to some other examples I've seen I would ventrue a guess of Sketchup, Cinema 4D, Photoshop. That's what http://www.baumbergerstudio.com uses and I'd say the styles are fairly similar. either way they are great images.

Thanks for the links, when I can break away from my desk I'd like to read the vectorworks pdf. I checked out the Cinema 4D site. How come there is not much talk about that particular program? Are many using it, it seems like it give good output based on the website (which of course it biased). I noticed there's not a cinema 4D sub forum, can anyone tell me why...

I'm pretty sure they were done outside Libeskind's office, by company called Archimation

www.archimation.com

nice site, but can't find details on software & techniques used.

Archimation does list Libeskind as one of their clients...

I also know that people who worked on the freedom tower project used Revit.

Sounds like a bit of everything was going on - now that would have been an interesting logistical exercise

Looks like I asked a question that just didn't have a straight answer. I figured there were several applications used, I was hoping to narrow down my selection of renderers but I guess there's beauty in options. Thanks to everyone that commented!
