It's telepathy !

You know, some of these sites have been renovated.
This one (Le Bois du Cazier, Marcinelle) is a coal mine where a terrible accident occured in 1956. About 300 workers died in the mine.
It's now a museum.

The photo before.

Another site (Mons, Belgium) has been renovated by Jean Nouvel. It's science museum now.

You're probably modelling it right now!

This seems to be a common topic lately. Edward Burtynsky (http://www.edwardburtynsky.com/) has very interesting pictures of abandoned chinese factories and Shipwrecks in Bangladesh.
Impressive pictures

Nope, but I already modeled it in SU... :D
Just to understand the spatial layout and connections between levels...
but maybe someday...?

Hello Ryo

I agree with you. This lavery has many interesting features .
There has to be a thesis about at Mons school of architecture. I think the author is the site's owner's daughter, but I don't remember exactly.
I've heard that the only future for this lavery is dynamite.. armed concrete is too much rotten. Do you know more about ?

Regards

Francesco

Indeed.
I've met another student last year, Erica Houtreille was very interested by the animation I did about this building.
There was an idea competition two years ago about the future of this building and it seems that Binche was kind of happy with the outputs...? :wondering
So... perhaps the dynamite can be avoided?
