Simple but effective, I like it.
I'm just wondering how the light will act in the final look. Light plays a very important row in this type of project.
Is it built already? If so, can you post some photos?
I like it too. It looks suitable for showing optical stuff. Clean lines and light colors. I agree with digdoi that light is going to be crucial, and particularly with that theme and the fact that you'll need lots of it
simple. but what are the tectonics? how is the signage piece held up or hung simply? even the slim display pieces at the forefront can be thought through more to achieve the simplicity. what are the tactile features if there are any? or even the visual highlighting for the concept of a specialized contac. is there a way to sell the idea without putting on the contacs? how literally or figuratively should this play into your design?
not much to go on, and you've probably already thought about these ideas, just haven't shared them...

Thanks for the input.
The banner is suspended from the ceiling and there is a rig inside which houses the lighting. This was a preliminary design, which was used to introduce the concept. We are currently working out the details and it will be set up for the exhibition in the spring.
We are curently using SU on a daily basis for all of our design work.
You can have a look at what we do on www.walbert-schmitz.de
Here is a photo of what how it was eventually built.
Here is another image of the finished project.
It looks really close to what you did in Sketchup. Congratulations you're probably quite happy with the outcome.
For me it's really interesting to see show booths designs, so if that's what you do feel free to post more projects and you know you'll get feedback
Now that you've seen this design built, how do you feel about it? Was it a successful booth? How could you improve?
I like the bold color choice as opposed to the more lighter desaturated tones from you SU output.

i like the clean look of these units. are these plywood and laminate construction?
The casework is MDF which sprayed with a flat latex. The client was happy with the result but I favored the more symmetrical concept but I think the comprise worked well. We build this kind of stuff in house and most of the time the client will use it for a couple of events.
I try to convince the clients that continuity is important and try involve basic architectural principles into the design.
Here is a concept for a producer of sanitary products. Showers and bathtubs etc.
Transparent curtains would hang from the ceiling for an "ah-ha" effect when they open.

It might be even close to Cologne, Deutschland, because he's asking Bekken out :wondering
out of curiosity, what material is there to get that curve bend on the bottom of the base into the upright part?

you did great man...
love the "aha" thing as well....
cheers
Bekin how thick was the MDF. The walkthrough towers appear to be about 16’ high. They must weigh a tone. And looking at the sketch my first concern was people tripping over the base portion of the towers but I see that the floor was painted. Is the office area a system…..and I don’t understand the kitchen area. Is it a lunch room…are the poor exhibitors manning the booth trapped there for the entire day. I’m sure a lot of people here have been to trade shows but don’t see the goings on be fore hand. Do you have any pics of it being set up . How many crates does it fit in. How many people and how long did it take to set up. And go ahead and give the ball park figure of what this exhibit was worth.

Superb work here!
I love the aha idea and the giant tub section is veeery cool!!
Do you plan to invite skaters to enhance the curvy idea? :wondering
You could play with running water along these walls, as well...
we usually use 16 mm material. The (Brackets) are 4 meters tall and do weigh quite a bit. We do kitchens for the hospitality including bar area so that they can serve beverages and finger foods. The offices are a indeed system made of extruded aluminum which we cover. It helps to use this sort of standard stuff for the infastructure because it is already set up for lighting.
For curved surfaces we normaly use 4 mm HDF which is puttied and sanded and made in sections for easy transport.
We produce booths for western europe mainly germany but sometime our clients go to Barcelona, Moscow or Tehran. It just depends on the logistics of the whole thing.
