The removal of Meier's casket?

The new mayor of Rome, Alemanno, said the casket projected by Meier to proctect Ara Pacis will be removed and probably moved in the outskirts ...
what do you think about it?
Personally I do not agree 'cos I like Meier's proposal and I think that this idea of the removal it's almost some kind of revenging act versus the previous mayor of Rome (Rutelli), that was opposite candidate of this early elections in Rome...

(as usual I have to excuse me for my errors in the text, hope it's almost clear!)

Rome's new mayor considers removing controversial Meier work
The Associated PressPublished: April 30, 2008

ROME: Rome's new mayor said Wednesday he is considering removing a structure that American architect Richard Meier built in the heart of the Italian capital to house the "Ara Pacis," a 2,000-year-old sacrificial altar.

Mayor Gianni Alemanno said Meier's work "should be removed," although this will not be "the first priority" of his administration. Alemanno won a runoff election this week to become Rome's first right-wing mayor since World War II.

The block-like structure housing the altar built by the Emperor Augusts has attracted controversy since the city's center-left administration assigned the project to Meier in 1998.

It opened to the public in 2006, but some critics still contend the modern building clashes with Rome's classical architecture.

Meier was quoted by the ANSA news agency on Wednesday as saying he is ready to discuss the issue with Alemanno.

In 2006, when Alemanno first ran unsuccessfully for the mayorship, he also opposed the Meier structure, suggesting it should be moved to another location.
