Narrow House
A Narrow House in Brazil. The only description I could find was this:
"a micron apartment..... 2 parts 1 peça(sala, kitchen and room) second peça the bathroom" after I translated the forum I ripped this off using world.altavista.com I am guessing peca means floor but my guess is as good as yours. I couldn't find any information as to who the architect is or plans or any other drawings so I submit it here purely for the aesthetics of the building (or lack thereof). I think it's beautiful. Give your opinion but don't be narrow minded .

Thanks for posting but please DO NOT LINK IMAGES but post them here one by one. Max resolution is 700 X 700. Or check other threads to look how to post. Thank you.
Besides, you should provide much more information on what you're posting like: location, architect, functions, eventually plans or sections if you have some... etc etc...

I saw this on some documentary on tv.
The woman was quite pleased to live there. ...Would be great as a project to design and still bring some quality. It's a pity the design wasn't thought through more. Could have been a good play. ...and yeah Michel:some more info is needed.

small houses in tokyo
This reminds me of an very narrow house build in Japan (I think in Tokyo).
I've seen in in a book about small houses in Japan. Damn, Should have bought it. There were realy crazy examples of houses on 'impossible' plots of land. But the results were really aesthetically pleasing. Beautiful! Having these other houses in mind I don't like this one so much.

Michel, I have revised the first post. I sadly have no more info about the house.
Wizum, I am hurt that you would insinuate that I am trying to plug a different forum on this forum of all forums. And don't follow the link, wouldn't want you to break your principles for me. Besides the other forum is in Portuguese and you don't have the sweet skills that I have to translate the forum. But point taken I will restrain myself from posting links on this forum. back2b, I have seen the house you talk about and I know at least one book on the subject called XS that has the house, you can find the book on Amazon easy. Could you post the name of the book you have in mind or send it to me? primocordara, I also saw the one in Amsterdam, dubbed appropriately the narrowest house in Amsterdam, that one has buildings on either side but has a footprint roughly the size of the one I posted. The one I Tokyo is freestanding like the one in Brazil (more or less) but is narrower still. |
